Hi, my name is Cherise Lavah
I’m a visual artist and graphic designer specializing in Illustration and branding. With three years of experience under my belt, I have helped clients design everything from logos and business cards to layouts and illustrations. I’m proficient in Adobe Illustrator, HTML, CSS, and web and print design. A passion for art and design has motivated me to learn these skills before even enrolling in Salt Lake Community College, though, formal education has kept my software skills up-to-date and has furthered my understanding of the graphic design industry.
As a Salt Lake City transplant, I immersed myself in the art community as quickly as I could. A year after my arrival to this beautiful city, I had the honor of being featured in Opposition Gallery’s ‘Bloom and Decay’ series, and a pop-up gallery hosted by local artist, Kevin Arthofer. I also had the opportunity to work on freelance projects with Bluefin Co., owners of the Tsunami Grill and Sushi Bar chain in Utah Valley, and ‘Ruby June Birthing Services,’ a local startup. In addition, I also have freelance experience working remotely with microbreweries, real estate companies, and a meal prep company based out of Orlando, Florida. As a highly motivated individual, my attention to detail and creativity drives me to develop an effective visual and brand-specific message for each of my clients. I take each challenge as an opportunity to create, learn and grow. I look forward to working and growing with the beautiful Salt Lake community even further. When I’m not polishing my industry-standard art and design skills, you can find me hanging out with my pitbull, making music, or playing video games. |
